Minutes of the Virtual Meeting of the TSEWA National Executive Committee held on 14 Aug 2021

The President welcomed all present in the meeting and thanked them for their efforts to attend the virtual meeting. He requested the General Secretary to commence the proceedings. 

Item No.1. TSEWA Office Accommodation: The President appreciated the efforts of the Board of Officers headed by Col N Sitaramaiah and General Secretary in getting the Documentation, Registration, Modification of Accommodation and Selection of Furniture for the office. He informed that pooja at the premises will be conducted on 23 August 2021, being an auspicious day. Formal inauguration of the office accommodation will be tentatively done on 29 August 2021. Further, he informed that TSEWA wanted Shri P MuniKrishna, MD, Parashakti Cements Industries Ltd (Subhadra Foundation) who has donated the highest amount of Rs.4.00 lakhs, to be Chief Guest for the inauguration. However, Shri Munikrishna informed that he would be present but politely declined any publicity by being the Chief Guest. TSEWA NEC discussed about the Chief Guest for the function at length and decided to request Chief Mentor of TSEWA, Brig CS Vidyasagar and Mentor of TSEWA, Col Dr. GB Sethi to be the Chief Guests for the Inaugural Function.

General Secretary informed that TSEWA has paid Rs 50,93,000/- for the accommodation including GST and Rs 1,92,000/-  as Registration Charges. Furniture for office is contracted from M/s JK Enterprises at the cost of Rs 1,10, 000/- and Rs 70,000/- has been paid as an advance for the purpose. The furniture consists of one Conference Table for 18-20 Members and three Office Tables for the offices of President, General Secretary and Treasurer of TSEWA. The furniture is expected to be delivered by 23 August 2021. TSEWA has to pay Rs 20,000/- for the modifications being carried out by the builder. Further, he informed that about Rs 20,000/- to 30.000/- may be required for Tube lights and Fans and Rs 20,000/- for the Board to display the names of Esteemed Donors, who have donated more than Rs 20,000/- to TSEWA.

Item No.2. OROP Case:  Chief Mentor, Brig CS Vidyasagar explained the progress of discussions about the case and hoped that it will be filed soon at the honorable High Court of Telangana at Hyderabad. The President informed the Members that our Advocate Col Ravi Chowdhary has already prepared all the documents for filing and that it would be filed on 17 or 18 Aug.

Item No.5. AFT 28 Case: Brig CS Vidyasagar  explained in detail about the case and informed that it will be filed at Delhi or Hyderabad after consultations with Head TSEWA Legal Division, Brig SKS Rana, VSM.  The President added that Col Ravi Chowdhary, our Advocate has agreed to file the AFT 28 case in the circuit Bench of Hyderabad for the officers belonging to the states of Telangana, AP and Chennai only in case Brig Rana, VSM, President, Legal Division confirms that he will not be able to file the case in AFT Delhi for all the applicants. He requested Col Ajit Rana to discuss the above with Brig SKS Rana, VSM and let TSEWA know about the progress.

Item No.6. Donations for TSEWA Office Accomodation: The Treasurer, Lt Col VC Salins informed that TSEWA has received Rs 31,29,000/- so far for the Office Accomodation. 

Item No.7. ECHS Smart Card Software and other Problems:   Cmde KS Sandhu has brought out few cases of ECHS Problems faced by ESM, which came to his notice at Mumbai. Col Srikantha Seshadri has assured to take up the case with HQ ECHS and requested him to send the details by email to him.

Item No.8. Video Conference System: President informed that the fortnightly meeting of TSEWA shall continue virtually for out station members even after physical meetings commence for Members based at Secunderabad after the COVID restrictions are removed. He explained the need for a Video Conference System for the purpose as proposed by Maj Dr. B Bhikshapathy, which may cost about Rs 2 lacs. The TSEWA NEC approved the purchase of the System for TSEWA Office.

There being no further points, the meeting was closed at 12:00 Noon and decided to hold the next NEC Meeting on 28 August 2021.

Commissioned into the Indian Navy on 25 Mar 1970, an alumnus of Defence Services Staff College and College of Defence Management. Served in various ships for 9 years including commissioning of India's First Guided Missile Destroyer INS Rajput. Important shore appointments include Dy Naval Attache, Moscow, DS at CDM, Director Naval Plans, Principal Director Procurement at NHQ, Chief Staff Officer (LA&P) at ENC and HF at CDM. Took pre-mature retirement after 32 years service at the peak of career before the Promotion Board to the Flag Rank on compassionate Grounds. At Present totally dedicated to the Ex-Servicemen Welfare and is the President of East & South Zones of TSEWA
