8th Annual General Body Meeting Summary (AGBM)
The AGBM was organised under the aegis of Cmde K S Sandhu President West Zone on June 25, 2023, in Navi-Mumbai. It was attended by over 100 ESMs, and Veernaris. AVM Hariharan inaugurated the meeting. Various topics ranging from TSEWA’s objectives, update on legal cases and Charity activities under taken by TSEWA was presented. Brigadier CS Vidyasagar also explained the salient points of the One-Man Judicial Committee report.
Commodore Sudheer Parakala, tendered his resignation due to personal commitments and our Chief Mentor Brig CS Vidyasagar was again unanimously elected as the new President of TSEWA.
Awareness Camps
Awareness Camp in Kolkata: Major General Shibnath Mukherjee, President East Zone TSEWA, conducted a Seminar Cum Workshop on 8th Jan 2023 in Kolkata, wherein more than 200 ESMs attended. Another awareness program will be conducted on 10th & 11th Feb 2024 in Kolkata & Durgapur respectively. Senior members of TSEWA, including the President, Brigadier CS Vidyasagar, Brig D S C Varma, & Col Srikantha Seshadhri will be participating in the camp.
Awareness Program in Mhow: On request from ESMs, Brigadier CS Vidyasagar conducted an awareness program in Mhow on 16 Dec 2023, which was well-attended. The session was interactive and covered issues related to Pensions, OROP, SPARSH, and OMJC report.
Defence Services Single Ladies Officers Group (DSSLOG):
Brig CS Vidyasagar conducted a series of meetings across the country (Bangalore, Pune, Mumbai, Noida, Gurgaon and more), to appraise Single ladies, War Widows and ESM about their pensionary benefits.
The response was overwhelming and as a result, a DSSLOG has 678 members as of today.
A WhatsApp group has been formed with Mrs. Neera Sirohi as Group Admin to coordinate the activities of the Group.
Visit of President TSEWA to PCDA:
The President Brig CS Vidyasagar visits PCDA Allahabad every quarter to resolve the pending issues of pension pertaining to Veterans. During his last two visits more than 20 cases have been resolved especially those of Single ladies and dependent children.
Awareness Program (MEG Centre and ASC Centre South Bangalore)
Col Srikantha Seshadri President Karnataka visits MEG Centre and ASC Centre South Bangalore regularly every month to brief the Service personnel proceeding on Pension regards their Pension entitlements and ECHS procedures. He also appraises them about TSEWA and its activities in helping ESM.
Conduct of Life Certificate Camp for pensioners: TSEWA conducted Jeevan Praman camps at different places in Lucknow, Kolkata, Mumbai, Bangalore, and Hyderabad during Nov/Dec 23 for both migrated and non-migrated SPARSH individuals. The camps were a great success. More than 1200 ESMs and family pensioners utilized services and submitted LC during the camp. Additionally, doubts related to SPARSH, ECHS and other issues were clarified during the camp.
SPARSH:
A large number of Veterans and Single Ladies visit TSEWA to resolve problems pertaining to SPARSH. Our Office Superintendent R.Anand kumar has assisted in resolving their problems particularly related to migration to SPARSH and updating their particulars in the Verification data sheet. Till date over 1000 veterans/ single ladies problems have been resolved.
Charity Activities
Donation for charity to help education of poor and deserving students also received from the following donors:
- Gp Capt M G Nori has donated Rs.50,000/-
- Somdas Prabhudas Patel Seva Fund from USA Rs.1,23,000/-
- Dr K G Subhadra donating Rs.10,000/- per month.
Presented a cheque of Rs. 10,000/- to a poor student pursuing MBA 1st Year at Delhi University (SOMDAS PRABHUDAS PATEL SEVA FUND)

“The General Secretary is presenting a cheque of Rs. 50,100 to support 8 students studying at Railway Degree College, Secunderabad, (Madhuri Seva Fund),
