Dear Members of TSEWA,
It is with a sense of great pride, I inform you that on 08 Jan 2018, TSEWA distributed Rs 73,055 towards charitable activities to very deserving cases. The Charity Division headed by Col MK Veeramani with Cmde Sudheer Parakala and Hony Capt B Joseph as members have verified on ground the genuineness of these beneficiaries.
We received news from a Correspondent of Eenadu, a Telugu News Daily, Secunderabad that one Sri Venkateswara Rao, resident of Secunderabad working as a mason, was hit by a truck early in the morning few days ago. The truck driver ran away leaving his victim dead on the road. Sri Venkateswar Rao leaves behind his wife Smt Lakshmi and two children. The Charity Division went to the house and found that Smt Lakshmi is unable to give even feed her children as she is not educated and does not have a job.
The Charity Division immediately sanctioned Rs 25,000 as financial assistance to Smt Lakshmi to look after her children till she finds some employment.
We also received requests for educational grant from many children from poor families of Warangal Dist of Telangana. The students are pursuing various courses like MBBS, Engineering, Degree etc. The details are given below.
