Smt Zalengkim – All dues finally cleared!

Dear Members, Non – Members and Civilian Donors to Smt Zalengkim of Manipur,

I am extremely happy to inform you that on 17 Sep 2019, Lt Col LM Singh, OiC ECHS Polyclinic has repaid the loan of Rs 1,33,900/- outstanding in SBI, Mantriphukri branch, East Imphal against Smt Zalengkim, wife of (late) Damchuilung, ASC of Manipur.

With this now, Smt Zalengkim owes nothing to anyone. She now gets back her Rs 17,000 which earlier used to go towards interest of loans she was forced to take due to tribal customs of Manipur.

She can now look after her huge family of nine members with her family pension. Hopefully, she will get some decent job to supplement her ordinary family pension.

Thank you, donors, for your kindness and generosity. It was all done in such a short time of just 10 days because all of you responded very quickly. These 10 days must be the happiest days in the life of a widow of a fauji in a remote village in Tamenglong Dist of Manipur.

It is record for TSEWA that in just 48 hours we raised funds crossing Rs 6 lakhs. The credit goes to all of you whether you donated Rs 200 or 30,000.

May God bless all of you with abundant health and long life so that you may come to rescue poorest of the poor.

My conviction that we can help ourselves without begging anyone including Central or State Governments is becoming stronger by the day.
