FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO SMT HOLYNAH ZIMIK,WIDOW OF NK NGATHINGKHUI OF UKHRUL DIST, MANIPUR
The case pertains to Smt Holynah Zimik, widow of Late Nk AS Ngathingkhul of Ukhrul Dist, Manipur recommended by Col LM Singh, President Manipur State.
Subsequent to the death of Naik, the lady has been getting family pension of Rs.11,000/-. However, she is suffering from Chronic Kidney disease and Hepatitis C for the past four years. Most of the pension goes to pay for her dialysis and costly medicines which are not available with ECHS, Imphal. She has four sons and a daughter. Two elder sons are unemployed and two younger sons are studying in class XI at Imphal. The only daughter is working part-time in a call center at Delhi making enough money sustain herself. The widow is in a pathetic condition and augments her income by selling vegetables in the street.
The Charity Committee discussed the matter and approved a Financial Assistance of Rs. 25,000/- to the widow to build a Ty shed/Kiosk so that she can sell vegetables in a more dignified manner, assisted by her unemployed sons. The Committee recommended that President, Manipur may send a separate case for Children’s educational assistance with the school progress reports and Tuition fee demand for this Academic Year by end March 2020 so that the committee can consider if funds are available for QE Mar 2020.
On 6th Jan 2020, the cheque for Rs 25,000/- was handed over to Smt. Holynah Zimik by Lt Gen K. Himalay Singh, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, YSM (Retd), & Mrs (Dr.) Mangala Konsam, who graced the simple yet solemn occasion. Also present were Col LM Singh, President, TSEWA Manipur State, Hony Capt Hausuanmang, Sub Major Sarat, Naik Ranjit, Naik Sanatomba and ECHS Team Kilo One staff.
