DIRECTIONS OF AFT DELHI ON OA 1545/2017 (AFT 8) (PENSION OF NB SUB TO PRE -2006 HONY NB SUB)

During the hearing of the above cited OA on 16/02/2018, the counsel for the Union of India has admitted that that there is no dispute about the fact that the applicant who has been given honorary commission of Nb Sub getting the pension of Nb Sub and the only exercise which is done by the answering respondents is with regard to verification of their credentials, service records etc.

There upon the bench directed the respondents “to inform the Tribunal about the progress being made in the matter after about two months or so. We hope and trust that the respondents will expedite the process and subject to verification, grant pensionery benefit in the rank of Nb Sub to the applicants wherever such a benefit is to be given, as expeditiously as possible and preferably before 27th April, 2018. A tabulation of the names with reference to the memo of parties should also be prepared by the respondents and handed over to the applicants as well as to the Tribunal on the next date of hearing.”
