Smt Surinder Kaur is the widow of late Sep Daljit Ram of village Bassi Mudda in Hoshiarpur district, Punjab. She is a non family pensioner as her late husband served in the Army for only 9 years and took premature retirement. After he left the army, he was working as a mason. However, he died in Jan 2019, after a prolonged illness. Smt Surinder Kaur has one son who was working as a daily wage labourer in the local grain market. Unfortunately, he met with an accident and sustained a brain injury. He underwent brain surgery but he is still in a very bad condition. The only source of income is from the domestic jobs that Smt Surinder Kaur does in a few houses. Col Raghbir Singh, President, TSEWA Punjab managed to get donations to clear the hospital bill.
TSEWA Charity division sanctioned Rs 25,000/- to Smt Surinder Kaur, which will provide some help to her.
