Item No.1. TSEWA Office Accommodation: The President informed that Inauguration of the TSEWA Office Accommodation will be carried out by the Chief Mentor of TSEWA, Brig CS Vidyasagar, as he is in good health now.
General Secretary informed that TSEWA has received about Rs 34 lacs as donations for the Office Accommodation, in which Rs 2 lacs have been donated by Col Nagesh Chandra Gupta.
Item No.2. OROP Case: Cdr Chandrashekhar informed about the progress of the case and hoped it will come for first hearing in Honorable High Court of Telangana next week. The President added that the case is now listed for hearing on 02 Sep 21
Item No.3. Functioning of AFTs: Vice-President Col N Sitaramaiah proposed to file a PIL in Honorable Supreme Court to instruct Govt of India to fill up the vacancies in the AFTs so that they can start functioning, to which the NEC has agreed in principle. However, President Cmde Sudheer Parakala said that final decision will be taken on the subject after consultations with President TSEWA Legal Division, Brig SKS Rana, VSM. He requested Col Ajit Singh Rana and Cdr Chandrasekhar to discuss the matter with Brig Rana and brief the NEC about the decision during the next NEC/Core Committee Meeting.
Item No.4. Creation of WhatsApp groups of TSEWA Members: Chief Mentor Brig CS Vidyasagar has expressed his concern about very little participation of JCO/ORs in TSEWA activities which can be seen by very few donations for Office Accomodation and negligible contribution in legal fee for OROP case. Cmde KS Sandhu opined that this may be basically because of lack of communication from TSEWA Office to JCO/ORs as emails sent by TSEWA Office may not be reaching all JCO/OR members of TSEWA. Maj Gen SN Mukherjee has informed that he has created the WhatsApp group of TSEWA members from West Bengal and suggested to request other State Presidents to create such groups in each state. The President requested all the State Presidents to obtain the list of Members from their respective states from TSEWA HQ and make similar WhatsApp Groups as is done by Cmde Sandhu and Gen Mukherjee. He added that it was essential that all important messages emanating from TSEWA HQ should be disseminated to their respective Members.
Item No.5. AFT Cases on Anomalies of OROP: Major Dr. B Bhikshapathy proposed to file cases in AFT about each anomaly of OROP separately, starting from the anomaly affecting the most of the JCO/ORs, as no progress is expected about the OMJC Report. Brig CS Vidyasagar has suggested that President Cmde Sudheer Parakala should discuss the matter with Head Legal Division, Brig SKS Rana, VSM and file cases one after the other, on contribution of legal fee by the petitioners.
Item No.6. Video Conference System: President informed that the fortnightly meeting of TSEWA shall continue virtually for out station members even after physical meetings commence for Members based at Secunderabad after the COVID restrictions are removed. He informed that the system will be identified after trials at the new Office Accommodation shortly.
There being no further points, the meeting was closed at 12:00 Noon and decided to hold the next NEC Meeting on 11 September 2021.
