Minutes of the Virtual/ Physical Meeting of the TSEWA National Executive Committee held at 1000 Hrs on 15 April 23

1. The President welcomed all present in the meeting and informed that the General Secretary is not able to attend the meeting today as he is out of station.
2. Item No. 1. Minutes of the Last NEC Meeting: The President read out minutes of the last NEC Meeting and explained the progress on each point.
3. Item No. 2. Annual General Body Meeting: Cmde KS Sandhu requested to confirm the date of next AGM, so that necessary accommodation can be booked in advance and arrangements could be made for smooth conduct of the AGM at Mumbai. The NEC decided to conduct the next AGM on last Sunday of June i.e. 25 June 2023, at Mumbai, under the arrangements of Cmde KS Sandhu, President West Zone.
Action: Cmde KS Sandhu is requested to forward draft arrangements to be made for the AGM and budget requirements for the same.
4. Item No. 3. Donations Received by TSEWA: The President informed that TSEWA has received an amount of Rs 2.7 lacs as donations in response to the TSEWA letter to its members.
Action: Nil.
5. Item No. 4. AFT Case of Notional MSP for Maj Gens: The President informed that TSEWA has won the AFT case on 14 March 23. But the judgement is not a REM judgement and applicable for the litigants of the case only. Further, he informed that number of Maj Gens who were not litigants of the case have approached him to take up a 2nd case on the subject by TSEWA as many are willing to join the case. The NEC discussed the matter and decided to wait for some more time to take a final decision on the matter pending clarification from our Advocate on the correctness of the judgment vis-à-vis our prayer.
Action: Nil.
6. Item No. 5. ECHS Empaneled Hospitals: Col Srikantha Seshadri informed that the number of empaneled hospitals are decreasing day by day and there are hardly any good hospitals remaining empaneled due to non-clearance of crores worth of bills by ECHS. He intimated that MOD (Fin) is not projecting the correct requirements in advance to Min of Finance, which is resulting in this crisis. He requested the President to take up a case with honorable Raksha Mantri and all others concerned in this regard.
Action: The General Secretary of TSEWA is requested to process the case accordingly.
7. Item No. 6. Membership Drive. Col Srikantha Seshadri informed that in the last one year he could enroll 1046 new Members to TSEWA from his lectures to the JCOs/ORs under discharge after completion of their engagement. The NEC appreciated his efforts and encouraged others to take up similar activities in their areas.

8. There being no further points, the meeting was closed at 11:30 AM and decided to hold the next NEC Meeting on 06 May 2023.
