Minutes of  TSEWA Core Committee Meeting held on 30th January 2019  at 143 Vayupuri Secunderabad – 500 094

The President welcomed all present and thanked them for sparing their time to attend the meeting. He requested the General Secretary to commence the proceedings by giving out his points.

General Secretary’s Points.

Agenda for NCESMO Meeting. The draft Agenda was circulated among TSEWA Core  andExecutive Committee Members. It was decided that the Agenda will be sent immediately.

Awareness Camp. After a lengthy discussion, it was decided that this awareness camp be held at the Jawahar Nagar ESM Colony soon after the NCESMO meet. Hony Capt B Joseph was requested to make all arrangements for this event and he agreed to do the needful. This awareness programme is to educate the veterans and family pensioners of their legitimate entitlements and how TSEWA is helping the veteran community.

Reservist Case. The matter of Reservist pension for those who served 9 years was discussed and Gp Capt CRR Sastry was requested to forward the documents to Brig SKS Rana, VSM (Retd) at the earliest.

Reservist Case projected by Col KKSDadwal, President, TSEWA, Himachal Pradesh. The case of Reservists who are at present getting Reservist Pension, to seek regular Pension and OROP may also be forwarded to Brig SKS Rana, VSM (Retd) for discussion with Advocate and further action. The President informed that all those naval personnel who served for 10 years have won their case in Hon’ble Supreme Court and Govt of India has approved special pension of Rs 15,000 per month. This will help such naval personnel to become members of ECHS.

AFT 15 and AFT 31. General Secretary informed that action in these two matters need to be examined in detail. He requested Gp Capt Sastry (Retd) to do the needful.

Treasurer’s Points.

Financial State. Treasurer gave details of Donations received and important payments made.

Col Veeramani’s Case. Treasurer said that revised PPO of 2016 was handed over to Bank Manager and the decision of CPPC, OBC, New Delhi in the matter is awaited.

Sec 80G Exemption. Treasurer said that he is pursuing the matter with our Chartered Accountant vigorously and all efforts will be made to get the exemption before the end of Financial Year 2018 – 19.

Cmde Sudheer Parakala (Retd), Vice President

Charity in Cumbum Area. Cmde Sudheer Parakala informed that to appreciate the efforts of Hony Lt Venugopal in enhancing the foot print of TSEWA in Cumbum area, Prakasam Dist, Andhra Pradesh, we need to make some Charity grants to deserving persons from that area. It was suggested that Charity Committee should seek recommendations from Hony Lt Venugopal directly.

Maj B Bikshapathy

Volunteering in TSEWA Office. Maj B Bikshapathy, a member of Core Committee volunteered to attend TSEWA office for three days in a week and assist Treasurer in his work. He has agreed to attend to this work on Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday.

Hony Capt B Joseph, Joint Secretary

Assistance during Awareness Lecture at MEG Centre Benguluru. Hony Capt B Joseph said that about 350 persons will attend the discharge drill Feb 2019 and said that he requires assistance of another ESM to cope with Membership drive in the meeting. He was asked to take an ESM from Benguluru area and if no such ESM available at Benguluru, then from Secunderabad.
