Financial assistance from Madhuri Seva Fund to needy college students

TSEWA presented cheques to 17 needy children studying at Railway Government College and other colleges during a function held on 25 March 2021 at the TSEWA office at Vayupuri. The financial assistance ranged from Rs.7,000 to Rs.20,000/- which facilitated the college going students to clear the tuition fee arrears and obtain hall tickets for the ensuing degree exams. Dr Bhashyam, Principal Railway Degree College Secunderabad received the cheque from Commodore Sudheer Parakala, Chairman, Charity Division of TSEWA. The amounts were granted from Madhuri Seva Fund set up by Col Nagesh Chandra Gupta, a TSEWA member, in memory of his late wife. Earlier in Jan 2021 another amount of Rs.1.20 lakhs was distributed to 14 very poor children who could not pay the college fees.

The beneficiaries thanked TSEWA and Col Nagesh Gupta eloquently for the generous financial assistance. Col (Dr) Sethi, General Secretary of TSEWA, Cmde Parakala and Col Parvathesam addressed the children and encouraged them to study well for a bright future. Dr Bhashyam, Principal, Railway Degree College thanked TSEWA and Col Nagesh Gupta and presented a bouquet to TSEWA.
